On this day, November 26, 5yrs ago, Museveni descended on Kasese and slaughtered hundreds (if not thousands) of unarmed Bakonjo. The massacre continued till 27 November 2016.
Since that year, November has always been a bloody month in Uganda. Every November, another massacre is ordered by the regime to divert the world for demanding for acountability for the Kasese massacre.
It was strange because my team warned Buganda, who remained mute, that he would soon massacre Baganda next.
In November 2020, Museveni slaughtered over 50 unarmed civilians in Kampala. There is still no accountability. In fact all Generals who committed those atrocities were elavated, praised and given promotions.
This year, in November, Museveni set off bombs in Kampala.
So, Ugandans must know that when there is injustice, we must stand with the opressed. In 2019, Dr. Kizza Besigye waa nearly murdered by a water canon. Bobi Wine’s group were all over social media saying that those were Besigye games. Yet the video showed clearly that the regime was trying to assassinate Dr. Besigye.
Come 2020, the tables were flippes onto NUP /PP. So you see, our political divide shouldn’t stop us from standing together in the face of injustice. This year’s bombs have touched all political parties. Even NRM people died in the bombs.
As Museveni targets and persecutes Muslims, we must speak up in one voice. Together, we muat demand the regime to stop killing our people. Injustice to one is injustice to all of us.
In other news, Museveni believes in “Never let a good pandemic go to waste”. With Covid-19 Nu now setting the world into panic, you will be lucky if schools and the economy opens in January 2022. It is gonna be a bumpy ride. Tighten your seat belts.
Don’t forget to wish Winnie Kizza a Happy Birthday.
