Uganda Premier League powerhouse Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) has sent out striker Sam Ssenyonjo to Wakiso Giants on loan until the end of this 2021/2022 campaign.

Since! joining the Kasassiro Boys in 2019, Ssenyonjo has struggled for playing time during the two and a half seasons spent at the MTN Omondi stadium in Lugogo.

The lanky forward who had a colourful debut the same year, scoring in the 5-2 win against Kyetume FC on 23rd November has in the past featured for Soltilo Bright Stars Junior team and Vipers Sports Club Soccer Academy.

“Ssenyonjo has been sent out on loan to acquire more playing time and also further his growth as a footballer,” partly read the KCCA statement released on Monday.

Ssenyonjo was part of the Uganda Hippos team that reached the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) U-20 final in Mauritania last year before loosing 2-0 to continental powerhouse, Ghana.

The 20 year old forward is anticipated to make his debut later this month when the Purple Sharks play away to Kiyindi Boys FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64.
