Residents of Mpungu and Kihihi Sub-Counties in Kanungu District are counting losses following a heavy storm that destroyed houses and crops on Wednesday and Thursday. The hailstorm destroyed banana plantations and houses leaving many homeless while others are still searching for shelter. According to the Kinkiizi West Member of Parliament said that after accessing the magnitude of the loss, close intervention started with immediate effect in a bid to support the victims seek shelter.
